Burger King works on a franchise model. However, all restaurants have to meet standards of service and quality. The Nullgravity team created a system that helps to automate the process of auditing the cleanliness and order of restaurants in accordance with global network standards. The system helps to reduce the amount of paperwork and to avoid the human factor in the assessment process.
The main challenge for our team was to figure out with the peculiarities of the auditors’ work and create a solution that really could facilitate and optimize their work. To design the clear solution we have conducted several stages of user interviews and UX-testings. Another big objective was to develop a scoring system and integrate it with the global base of Burger King.
The thoughtful scoring system helps to reduce the unbiased assessments of auditors. Now they don’t need to make a decision what factors meet the standards and what is not. They even don’t have to know the standards anymore. All they need to do is to capture all the data in an app. The system automatically analyzes the indicators and generates the results in the form of a PDF report that sends to the database of the head office.
The implementation of this system allowed us to significantly optimize the labor costs of auditors. As a result, each inspector began to spend 20-30% less time checking one restaurant. As for the speed of data processing, it has decreased by 10 times.
